Research strategies


The Department of Management, a Department of Excellence for the five-year period 2023-2027, aims to increase the role of research by fostering the active role of the academic staff in promoting economic progress and social welfare in a sustainable, innovative, entrepreneur, international and creative perspective.  

In accordance with this long-term goal, the Department gave priority to research activities and adopted active and audacious strategies, capable of increasing its impact on the national and international scientific community and, at the same time, of intensifying collaboration with local entities and business, reflecting directly on managerial practice and corporate culture.  

For the research activity of its professors, the Department is constantly committed to increase strategies directed to:

  • Maximize the impact of research at local, national, and international levels 
  • Increase the visibility and the usability of research products towards the main territorial stakeholders
  • Promote the discussion on methods and ideas through the organization of research seminars, professors exchanges, programs of visiting scholarships, interactions with other departments and international research centers, and contact with the most prominent professional communities 
  • Improve and further increase the visiting program for professors and researchers, both for incoming and outgoing flow
  • Promote a research culture open to the corporate world, to entrepreneurial organizations, and to other local, national, or supranational entities in a perspective of mutual exchange 
  • Create and enlarge multidisciplinary and multicultural networks between academics from all over the world 
  • Develop effective operational mechanisms capable of facilitating and supporting researchers, professors, doctoral students, associate researchers, and visiting scholar in a perspective of constant increasing of the research quality
