At the Department of Management (DiPSA), our vision is to be a centre of excellence in business administration, management, accounting, finance, leadership, entrepreneurship and social innovation, combining scientific rigour, educational relevance, and positive societal impact.

Our mission is to develop competent, responsible and forward-thinking professionals, and to generate high-quality, internationally recognised research that contributes to addressing complex global challenges. We aim to shape individuals and organisations capable of creating sustainable value across industries and communities.

Three guiding themes for the future

The Department’s strategic orientation for the 2023–2025 period is based on three thematic directions that inform our teaching, research, and third mission activities:

  • Social transformation: We respond to demographic shifts and increasing demands for equity, diversity, inclusion, and well-being in organisations. We promote social innovation, organisational welfare, and new accountability models.
  • Technological innovation: We explore the transformative effects of digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies on business models, financial systems, and organisational structures.
  • Environmental sustainability: We are committed to supporting the ecological transition through research and education focused on sustainable finance, circular business models, green innovation, and environmental risk management.
