The department of Management (DiPSA) at the University of Bergamo is actively involved in three doctoral programmes offered for the academic year 2025/2026. All programmes are taught entirely in english and reflect DiPSA’s strategic research areas, including management, accounting, finance, innovation, health and sustainability. 

DiPSA contributes to these PhD courses through dedicated faculty, research infrastructure, and supervision, ensuring high-quality training for the next generation of scholars and professionals.

PhD in Technology, Innovation and Management (TIM) (in agreement with Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II)

This interdepartmental PhD programme bridges technology, business, and society, aiming to prepare researchers with the skills to design and manage complex innovation processes—both in industrial (such as Industry 4.0 contexts) and service sectors. DiPSA faculty actively contribute to areas such as: 

  • business model innovation 
  • strategic and technology management 
  • entrepreneurship and digital transformation 
  • sustainability, governance, and finance 

The programme includes joint supervision across departments, structured international research mobility, and access to a network of public institutions and industry partners, particularly within the Italian and Neapolitan university context

PhD in Health and Longevity (in agreement with IRCCS Istituto Mario Negri)

This doctoral programme addresses the economic, organisational, and social dimensions of ageing, health systems, and longevity. DiPSA supports the programme through research and supervision in: 

  • healthcare management and organisational innovation; 
  • policy analysis and welfare systems; 
  • economic evaluation and sustainability of health services; 
  • digital innovation in health and social care. 

Developed in collaboration with the IRCCS Istituto Mario Negri, the programme combines methodological rigour with real-world impact, offering opportunities for applied research in one of Europe’s leading biomedical institutions.
