Curricular internships abroad are an integral part of the department of Management (DiPSA) learning experience. These internships are formally recognised in the student’s academic path and offer valuable professional experience in international settings, companies, public bodies, or non-profit institutions operating outside Italy.

Designed to enhance both technical and soft skills, these internships help students strengthen their CVs, explore potential career paths, and apply what they have learned in the classroom in a real-world context.

    Who can apply?

    Students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s programmes at DiPSA may apply for a curricular internship abroad, subject to the rules of their degree course. Internships must be consistent with the student’s academic plan and approved by the relevant programme director or internship coordinator.

    Internships are eligible for credit (ECTS) when they:

    • are included in the study plan as a curricular activity;
    • meet the duration and workload requirements;
    • are carried out within approved organisations abroad;
    • are properly documented and evaluated upon completion.

    Erasmus+ Traineeships

    Students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s or single-cycle degree programmes at the University of Bergamo can apply for Erasmus+ traineeships, which allow them to complete an internship in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus+ Programme.

    Key features:

    • duration: from 2 to 6 months;
    • funding: participants receive an EU mobility grant to support their experience abroad. Additional funding is available for students with disabilities or special needs;
    • required documentation: a “Learning Agreement for Traineeship” must be signed before departure by the student, the university of Bergamo, and the host organisation.

    Erasmus+ traineeships combine professional training with intercultural learning and offer strong recognition within the European labour market.
