Many universities now have ‘research impact’ at the centre of their strategic research goals. But what does impact mean, and how can we plan and manage our research to achieve this goal, especially when we are in the early stages of our research career? Is there a methodology that we can follow to ensure we transfer our knowledge effectively, engage with our research stakeholders and ultimately create impact?
During this interactive seminar, Professor Anne Hardy will share the insights she has gained over the course of her career, that have resulted in her research affecting policy change, being included in the Australian tourism strategy Thrive 2030, and being used by international organisations such as the United Nations Environment Program and the Asia Development Bank. Participants will have the opportunity to put the seminar findings into action and apply them to the work that they are currently undertaking or planning, with the goal of enhancing the impact of their research.
